Hitachi’s Platara Plasma TVs employ Hitachi’s Brightview system, which utilises ALIS
(Alternate Lighting of Surfaces) technology. This means that they are capable of
delivering outstanding levels of image resolution and clarity (subject to source).
Moreover you can get up to 32% more picture area from a Hitachi Platara Plasma TV
which takes up less space than a conventional television.

Brightview
Brightview, which uses Alternate Lighting of Surfaces (ALIS) technology, can be found
in Hitachi’s Platara Plasma TVs. This system supports High Definition television images with a
resolution of 1024 x 1024 fixed pixels (42” an 37”) and a 16:9 (widescreen) aspect ratio.
Odd and even lines are lit alternately every 1/50th second, doubling the resolution found on
standard VGA plasma screens without incurring any loss in brightness. At the same time, the halving
of the lighting duty compared to conventional systems ensures that the plasma
serves you with bright and clear pictures for a long time to come.

TRUBASS System
Hitachi’s Platara Plasma TVs use sophisticated acoustic engineering technology to deliver a richer, deeper, more
satisfying bass performance. By creating 100Hz and 150Hz sounds at the same time, TRUBASS creates the impression
of also hearing 50Hz and 250Hz frequencies which are more predominant to the human ear. Most noticeably it
dramatically improves dynamics and adds warmth to lower and mid frequency ranges.
