The Sanyo PLV-Z3 has been superseded by a remarkable offspring, the new Sanyo PLV-Z4. A near silent home theatre masterpiece, Sanyo has laid down the benchmark for the others to try to follow.

7,000:1 contrast ratio from an LCD projector is phenomenal but that is not all, colour accuracy has been ramped up and noise output driven down. Add to this a motorised lens cover, a “no signal” detector shut down method and the amazing 2x zoom range (a 100” diagonal image can be achieved from 9.8’ -> 20’!) and you get a projector that is totally easy to position, set up and use.

The Sanyo Z4 also has so many picture and colour options that you will never get bored fine tuning this to the lighting environment that you are using it in. we strongly agree with Projector Central sentiments, you have to be spending in excess of £8,000 to get an equivalent image from some of the audiophile projectors.

If you are after a true film theatre experience then look no further, pull up your Pullman seat, pop the popcorn, get the Coke, turn the lights off and let the excitement commence!
